Nkomo Named Captain for Zimbabwe's First Tour of India

Zimbabwe Cricket has confirmed that Nkomo will retain the captaincy as the team prepares for its first-ever tour of India. Selection officials opted to keep the group intact, naming the same lineup that participated in previous international engagements.

Form Players Retain Spots

The touring party features notable performers who delivered strong showings during the recent series against the West Indies. Among those securing their places are Biza and Ndhlovu, both of whom enter the tour with high momentum. Biza earned his position after finishing as the leading run-scorer in the One Day International leg of the Caribbean series, providing a solid foundation for the middle order.

Ndhlovu also remains in the setup, rewarded for his consistency after topping the run charts during the Twenty20 International series earlier this year. With the squad finalized and unchanged, the team looks to build on its recent form as it embarks on this significant bilateral challenge. Zimbabwe will be aiming to integrate the tactical leadership of Nkomo with the aggressive stroke-play of its top run-getters as they adjust to conditions on Indian soil.
