Pakistan Cricket Board Puts Financial Condition on T10 Participation
Players face uncertainty for the upcoming Abu Dhabi tournament as the board demands a fee for issuing clearances.
Financial Hurdles for T10 Participation
The participation of Pakistani cricketers in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 league is currently in doubt following a new policy directive from the national cricket board. With the tournament scheduled to commence on November 7, the Pakistan Cricket Board has informed league organizers that they must pay a fee of $10,000 for every No Objection Certificate issued to players seeking to join the competition.
Status of Player Clearances
The introduction of this financial requirement has cast a shadow over the immediate future of players contracted for the event. By mandating this levy per individual clearance, the board has effectively tied the availability of its players to a direct payment structure. As of now, the board has not indicated whether the league will agree to these terms or if there is any flexibility regarding the NOC process for athletes hoping to compete in the tournament. Consequently, the presence of Pakistani talent on the field remains unconfirmed as the start date nears.
