Sammy Praises West Indies Performance Against India

Evaluating Recent Progress

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy has offered a positive assessment of his squad's recent displays against India. Despite the various obstacles the team has faced, Sammy believes the players are demonstrating a clear upward trajectory in their competitive capabilities. He highlighted that the side has successfully met several key performance indicators, which he insists are vital for remaining relevant on the international stage.

Staying in the Conversation

Addressing the challenges inherent in their current campaign, the coach emphasized that the team's ability to consistently challenge a high-caliber opponent like India serves as proof of their growth. According to Sammy, the focus remains on the developmental path of the unit rather than just individual results. By ticking the necessary boxes, the West Indies management feels they are successfully maintaining their status within the global conversation. The leadership remains committed to this structured approach as they look to build upon these encouraging showings moving forward, viewing the resilience displayed by the squad as a cornerstone of their ongoing tactical evolution.
