Ashutosh Maurya: An Unbeaten Century That Finished the Match Alone

Chasing 148, Ashutosh Maurya opened the batting and simply never let go of the initiative. He finished unbeaten on 100 off just 42 balls — seven fours and a remarkable ten sixes, at a strike rate of 238.10 — carrying his bat through the entire chase after the early loss of Rajib Paul. CC lost only one wicket in the whole innings, and it wasn't Ashutosh's: he simply batted from the first ball to the winning run, taking the game away from Totally Crazy Stars with an innings that combined boundary-hitting with genuine control.

Ten sixes in a chase, with the match wrapped up in barely 10 overs, is about as complete a batting performance as a Man of the Match award requires.
