Calcutta Challengers produced a complete performance to demolish Deadly Bulls by 134 runs, posting a mammoth 208/10 in 12.5 overs before bowling their opponents out for just 74 in 9.4 overs. Raju set the tone with a blistering 37 off 8 balls studded with six sixes, and Tanmay Karmakar followed up with a rapid 55 off 22 to power CC past 200. But it was Suraj Prahladka who took the headlines and the Man of the Match award, ripping through Deadly Bulls with a 5-wicket haul for just 24 runs, ably backed by Imran, who pouched four catches at the cow corner, and two-wicket spells from Sauvik Chaudhury and Subrata Paul. For Deadly Bulls, only Aurangzeb Rashid — with a battling 22 and 3 wickets — had anything to show for the effort, earning him the Fighter of the Match award.

Raju's Six-Sixes Blitz Ignites Calcutta Challengers' Charge to 208

Calcutta Challengers lost Ashutosh Maurya without scoring in the very first over, but what followed was one of the most explosive cameos of the season. Raju tore into the Deadly Bulls attack with 37 off just 8 balls — six sixes and not a single boundary needed — at a strike rate of 462.50, setting a platform no team could realistically peg back. Miraj (12 off 6) and Imran (18 off 9, two fours and a six) kept the tempo up before Golok Bera chipped in with a brisk 32 off 14 (two fours, three sixes, SR 228.57), taking CC past 140 inside nine overs.

Six sixes in eight balls, strike rate north of 460. Raju’s cameo didn’t just open the innings — it set a target no Deadly Bulls total was ever going to survive.

Tanmay Karmakar's Fifty Seals a Daunting Total

With the platform laid, Tanmay Karmakar made sure CC finished with a flourish. His 55 off 22 balls — four fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 250.00 — accelerated an innings that was already flying, and a late cameo of 23 off 6 from Golam Masud (one four, three sixes, SR 383.33) took CC to a formidable 208/10 before the innings closed in the 13th over. It was a total that put the result beyond doubt before Deadly Bulls had even walked out to bat.

Suraj Prahladka's Five-For Demolishes Deadly Bulls

Chasing 209, Deadly Bulls never had a chance. Suraj Prahladka set the tone in the very first over, and by the time his spell was done he had figures of 5/24 from 3 overs (economy 8.00) — the standout performance of the match and comfortably enough to seal Man of the Match honours. He dismissed Harsh Jha, Satyajit, Kaushik Roy and Souvik Kundu among his five, tearing through the Deadly Bulls top and middle order and leaving them with no way back.

Five wickets, three overs, an economy of 8.00. Suraj Prahladka’s spell turned a chase into a formality inside the powerplay.

Imran's Sharp Hands, Sauvik & Subrata Complete the Rout

Suraj didn’t do it alone. Imran was outstanding in the field, holding on to four catches at the cow corner — the same fielding position, the same fashion, one after another — to end any hope of a Deadly Bulls partnership forming. Sauvik Chaudhury (2/12 in 2 overs, economy 6.00) and Subrata Paul (2/14 in 2 overs, economy 7.00) tightened the noose from the other end, each picking up two wickets of their own. Kaushik Roy had earlier taken two wickets with the ball for Deadly Bulls in the first innings, and Aurangzeb Rashid fought hardest for the chasing side — a defiant 22 off 15 (two fours, one six) at the death, to go with his 3 wickets for 43 earlier in the CC innings, was enough to earn him the Fighter of the Match award even in a losing cause. It was Tanmay Karmakar who fittingly finished the job, bowled Aurangzeb Rashid to wrap up the Deadly Bulls innings at 74 all out in the 10th over.
