A 4-day tennis-ball cricket championship at Ecopark Helipad Ground this Independence Day week — 12 residential teams from Rajarhat and New Town compete for a ₹19,999 winner's purse, with prizes for the Tournament MVP, Best Batter and Best Bowler.

This Independence Day week, Rajarhat Royals is bringing twelve of the finest residential cricket teams from Rajarhat and New Town together for the Royals Freedom Cup 2026 — a tennis-ball cricket tournament built to celebrate the spirit of freedom, unity, patriotism and sportsmanship through the game. It's more than a competition: it's a tribute to the values that make the nation strong — teamwork, respect, discipline and community — played out over four action-packed match days at one of New Town's best-known grounds.

👥 Player Eligibility
- Maximum 15 players may be registered per team.
- At least 13 of the 15 must have played a minimum of 10 matches for the team before 1 August 2026.
- Only 2 non-Khep players are permitted per team.
- Those two players must have had no previous association with the team they represent.
- The Organising Committee will verify all player records — any team or player found in violation may be disqualified.
📜 Tournament Rules
- Matches will be played as per the official tournament playing conditions.
- Umpires' decisions are final and binding.
- Fair play and sportsmanship are mandatory throughout the tournament.
- Misconduct, abusive behaviour or indiscipline may result in suspension or disqualification.
- Teams must report 30 minutes before their scheduled match — a walkover may be awarded for late arrival.
- The Organising Committee reserves the right to modify the schedule or rules whenever necessary.
