Captain Tublu was named Man of the Match for an unbeaten 65 off 21 balls with two fours and eight sixes. Hamzad (46 off 16) and Tublu put on 98 in 30 balls for the first wicket, and Prasanto Bhakat then took 3/13 in ten balls to dismantle the chase. Team Cyclone had their moments too: Partha Saha took 3/26 and finished 13 not out off 5, Vishal conceded just 13 runs in ten balls, and Junaid hit an unbeaten 36 off 14.
Hamzad and Tublu Add 98 in 30 Balls to Power Newtown Kings Legend
Hamzad hit 46 off 16 balls with three fours and five sixes, a strike rate of 287.50, before he was caught and bowled by Partha Saha with the score at 98/1 after 30 balls. Captain Tublu had his own share of that stand and kept going from there, finishing 65 not out off 21 with eight sixes at a strike rate of 309.52, which was 65 of the 146 runs his side scored.
Konty added a quick 20 off 6 with three sixes, and he and Tublu took the score from 98 to 132 in 11 balls before Konty was caught by Piyush off Vishal at 132/2 after 41 balls. Newtown Kings Legend's innings contained 17 sixes and only six fours.
Cyclone's Bowlers Pull It Back in the Closing Balls
Team Cyclone's attack was expensive early, with Sangharup Barua going for 35 in ten balls (five sixes conceded), Saheb Khan for 20 in five balls and MD Shamsuddin (Arif) for 21 in five, but they fought back at the end. Paul Zomi and Junaid Fight on for Team Cyclone
From 28/4, Paul Zomi and Junaid put on 63 for the fifth wicket in 30 balls, the best stand of Team Cyclone's innings.
